Joe Biden has been told to stop 'lecturing' the UK after he warned Boris Johnson not to break his Brexit deal with the EU

Joe Biden has triggered a furious row in the UK after threatening to veto a transatlantic trade deal if Boris Johnson breaks his Brexit deal with the EU.
Johnson has vowed to disapply the deal he signed with the EU with regard to trade and border provisions with Northern Ireland, and vowed to break international law in order to do so.
Senior congressmen and women including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi have warned Johnson that there will be no free trade deal with the US if he goes ahead with this plan.

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden delivered a warning to Boris Johnson, ruling out any U.K.-U.S. trade deal if the prime minister's plan to renege on parts of the Brexit agreement threatens peace in Northern Ireland.
“We can't allow the Good Friday Agreement that brought peace to Northern Ireland to become a casualty of Brexit,” Biden said on Twitter. “Any trade deal between the U.S. and U.K. must be contingent upon respect for the Agreement and preventing the return of a hard border. Period.”

LONDON - The British government struggled Thursday to overcome American opposition to its plans to breach the Brexit withdrawal agreement with the European Union, after Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden became the latest U.S. politician to express alarm.
