UK food delivery unicorn Deliveroo is frustrated that it is still undergoing a competition probe, even as it volunteers its help to the UK government to tackle COVID-19.
Deliveroo has been under investigation since 2019, after Amazon led a $575 million investment into the company. The probe is expected to conclude in June 2020.
The company is separately in discussions with the government about using its network of delivery riders to drop off care packages for the elderly and vulnerable as the UK remains under lockdown.

There are a growing number of symptom checker and screening tools that you can use at home if you suspect you might have contracted the new coronavirus that is causing the global COVID-19 pandemic. Most of these are relatively simple, including around three or four questions that basically cover the top reported symptoms experienced by anyone who has confirmed to have had the disease. Jeff Bezos posted a picture to Instagram of himself having a video-call with the Director General of WHO to discuss the coronavirus outbreak.
Bezos said Amazon is already supporting WHO with IT support and providing AI to help its epidemic-mapping tools.
"We also discussed the urgent need for collective action to produce and distribute plentiful COVID-19 test kits," Bezos said.
Amazon has already agreed to deliver COVID-19 kits in the UK.
